Body Armor and Tactical Gear Lead Times During the COVID-19 / Corona Virus Pandemic
First and foremost, we hope that you and your loved ones are safe and healthy. The recent COVID-19 outbreak has had a significant impact on us all. Spartan Armor Systems has always been devoted to maintaining the highest body armor quality standards with low lead times. As an “essential business”, we will continue production and fulfillment of orders during the pandemic. We are working hard to process orders as fast as possible and provide our customers with quality body armor during these times of uncertainty. We’ve brought in more employees and the whole team is working long hours to provide the best/fastest service possible.
Lead Times for Body Armor and Tactical Gear
We are forecasting our lead time on a daily basis. As you may have noticed, we post our current lead in various sections throughout our website. Note that our lead time is a conservative estimate based on the average time it takes to get orders out the door. Note that it’s fairly common that we ship orders faster than the estimated lead time. Again, we prefer to provide a conservative estimate to make sure we meet or exceed customer expectations.
Question: Is there any way I can pickup my order at your facility to get my body armor faster?
Answer: No, we’ve closed down our showroom to limit the possibility of employee exposure to COVID-19. At this time we are only handling orders via our website.
Question: How long does shipping take?
Answer: The majority of our orders are sent via USPS flat rate which typically takes 3-5 days to reach most states under normal circumstances. Orders that aren’t sent via USPS are shipped via UPS ground which also takes roughly 3-5 days. Note that many states are on a stay at home order which may increase delivery time in some areas.
Back Ordered Products
Due to popular demand we’ve begun allowing customers to purchase backordered products. We assign priority to orders on a first come, first serve basis. If a product is back ordered it will add additional time on top of the posted lead time.
Order Updates and Notifications
You will receive email notifications throughout the order process. These email notifications are triggered (1) when we receive your order and (2) when your order has shipped. The shipment notification email will contain your tracking number. If you do not receive a notification email, please check your spam/junk mail folder as it’s common that these emails are filtered by email service providers.
Question: If I give you my order number can you tell how many days until my order ships?
Answer: No, there are too many variables to give an exact day your order will ship. Rest assured we are working to get orders out ASAP.
Order Changes or Substitutions
In order to maintain relatively accurate lead times our system does not allow us to make order changes after the fact. We highly suggest you double check your order prior to submission. If you have doubts or questions about your order, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us in advance of placing your order. If you need to change your order, we will need to cancel the order and have you start over. This will result in you losing your place in line.
